Hello 👋☺️, my name is Lautaro and 5 years ago I started a project to create new varieties, with various purposes.  The forum has provided me with a lot of information so I wanted to share some of my experience along this path.  Within my experiences of creating "cold-resistant" citrus fruits I managed to create: Genova lemon x small flower Poncirus, Rampurg lime x small flower poncirus and Nagami kumquat x Citrange troyer.  and for this year many more!  🫡

No, I don't have fruit yet, but I'm sure with the vertical cultivation technique I can see results soon, I have obtained flowers at 3 years (rampurg, rough lemon) and 4 years (C. Limetoide and bitter orange).  Here are some photos of the cold-resistant hybrids (I have more non-resistant crosses)

The leaves grow like this when I remove all the shoots and only let it grow at the top apex (that's the vertical growing technique I copied from the University of Florida).  For didactic purposes I give an image that I made putting the fruits of known citrangequat and their genealogy on a scale, and the hybrid that I made.

Does someone know good papers, tutorials or videos on how to cross citrus? Looking for things like technique, but also photo examples of when to pollinate a flower (before they pollinate themselves) etc.

To prevent self-pollination all anthers should ideally be removed from the seed parent flowers prior to dehiscence. Bagging with fine mesh bags excludes insects from bringing in donor pollen.
Donor pollen from the desired source is deposited onto the receptive seed parent stigma. In some cases the stigma produces a moist film on the surface when receptive.

I have been on this path for 5 years now and the best thing is the experience.  In easy flowers like Lemon you can easily tell if I release pollen or not, also how to pull to remove the parts without breaking the flower.  Kumquat or plants when they are a little dehydrated usually release pollen before opening, when the bud is already there.  I don't know what your purpose is, because it also depends on what type of seed it has, polyembryonic (apomixis) or whether it is monoembryonic (seeds through sexual reproduction).  I have a channel and I made videos, but they are in Spanish.
