Tropical Fruit Discussion / Does anyone know what fruit tree this is?

My friend from San Diego was looking for this plant about six months ago. She ordered from Logees. The flowers look nicer and wider than the one that I bought from a vender at Swapmeet. My friend told me the one she bought from Logees is not the same variety from Philippines or Vietnam.
The flowers are fragrant in the evening until early morning.

My friend has this one. I am not sure how old it is but it is taller than his house’s roof. He airlayered a few and gave me one. Last year I tasted it is very good and it is better than the Taiwanese one. His plant currently has fruits. My small plant is flowering.

For many years I have been using koi pond washed off fish waste to water my fruit trees. I also have been growing vegetables along the streams to also extract out nitrogen from the pond; Part of natural pond filtration system

Yes, I do see this with my plant as well but not as much as yours.

I bought quite a few from several different sellers. This one is the best I have ever dealt with. It was less than three days from the time of payment to the time of scions arrived.
Thank you so much Marley for your generosity as well. I am greatly appreciated.
Just pure awesome person!!!

I just put two bud grafts on a tree at Brads orchard. It’s more like shield/veneer bud graft and I put it on newer red, non hardened wood so I’m skeptical it will take but I’m hopeful it will. The wind has been blowing crazy at his place and the trees were flexing a lot in the wind. Here’s a picture before I wrapped it.

Simon, can you update the chip buds that you did, when you have the time, please.
It has been about a month I did chip bud grafts. I took off the parafilm today. It looks like I have about 50% of the buds still green
I pinched off the top tip growth
I also have some side new growths. Should I take off all of it to force the buds to growth?
What is the best thing to do to force the buds?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Thai mango ID
« on: May 28, 2018, 07:42:47 PM »
I bought this from Vietnamese supermarket yesterday labeled as Thai mango. Each mango has a sticker RCF
Is this Mun Kun Si mango?
Eating raw: crunchy crispier than apple, hint of tart and sweetness, nice flavor
The fruit seems young, a bit immature, will the seeds germinate? It looks like poly embryos.

You guys probably going to yell at me for this
I have this one for over two years
Always give me few fruits each year
I don’t know how it has been able to support it self
The fruits look too nice to pick it

I did not know what this cross was (lee x nova). I bought two plants from Costco three years ago still in pots.
This is first year fruiting.

Awesome to hear
Have you been growing this outside or inside green house?
I wish I can buy some scions soon. Too impatient to wait until late July.
