How Should I Trim Young PC Mango Tree?
« on: September 08, 2019, 04:23:18 PM »

My Pina Colada tree, planted in March/April, has become gangly, droopy, and top-heavy.  How should I stake it or trim it?

Id get every branch and bring it down to the strongest terminal If it were mine. It will give you more branches which means more fruit in the future.  Thats just what I would do if it were me.  The tree will respond quickly and you'll see new growth pushing in less than 2 weeks.

Hi, any suggestion on pruning this Alphonso mango?  Or just let it be?  The center stem was broken during shipping. I have like 5 branches hanging out like a star pattern.
