Fruit pics!!!
« on: October 30, 2012, 10:04:18 PM »
We all like pics. We need more pics. Here is a place to post fruit porn. Blooms, buds, greenies,  ripe, even already harvested, lets see some fruit

Here is a brown turkey fig I picked yesterday, my mulberries and some brand new blooms on my Sri starfruit.

Hi,

Here is a picture of a Garcinia madruno I took just moments before I ate it. I tried to be a little artful with the reflection.

How do your mulberries taste like? I've never tasted one and from what I gather on the internet they really don't have much of a flavor.

They kind of taste like sweet blackberries with low acid. You really should try some, they are really nice to have.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

They are awesome. I love em. That is a pretty good description. I have heard that there is a lot of variety in the flavor of each type

I have never had a mulberry that I would describe as "not having much flavor".  The purple/black ones I have had all have a flavor similar to a blackberry, different varieties have different nuances.  The white, or green, have a super sweet honeyed flavor with a hint of honeydew melon,

Hola Felipe,

I'm not growing yellow grumichama...the seeds were tiny. This fruit tastes just like a cherry  :)  Haven't tasted the black var.
