Citrus General Discussion / Calamondin-odd brown stripes on leaves
« on: June 26, 2019, 08:32:49 PM »
I have a 30 year old Calamondin with an affliction I cant diagnose. I keep it in a ceramic pot and being I'm in New England I keep inside in the Winter and move it outside in the late Spring.

For the last two years each Spring, many leaves will get a brown stain which oddly will usually only show on one side (see attachment). It doesn't scratch off, its internal to the leaf. When it did this last year I repotted it in a new container with new soil and changed fertilizer. But the same brown stain appeared again this Spring. Has anyone seen this before?  Some mineral deficiency?

Thanks for the tip, I'll repost in the correct group.

Its history is that my mom got it as a cutting from a Coca-Cola mail-in promotion in the late 1970s. Its not to hard to guess that bitter orange is an ingredient in the soda. The tree may not look that large but its been mildly bonsai'd over the decades and heavily cut back. I got no blooms last year which I blame on the brown streak issue.
