why grow this when you can grow a larger variety. I prefer the thai/vietname/asian green crunchy variety. This mini looks too much work to pick for eating.
That's a beautiful guava! I'm with you I love guava for the taste, how's the taste of this mini guava? How big does it get? Also where did you get it?

This mini looks too much work to pick for eating.I just don't like Thai guavas or any crunchy type of guavas. I don't eat apples and don't care much about them. I don't think there's too much work for picking small fruits of any kind. This particular guava tastes good to me, this is why I grow it.
Here is a photo of my mini-guava.
Wow, variegated? I was looking for this one for years. I saw some pics on the other forum ones but the guy who owned the variegated plant said he lost it. I would like to have some seeds if not a scion. Do you think you could ask your friend if he can sell some? My fruits are not tart at all. I will repot it in spring.
Where can I get a mini plant?
I may have some seedlings in the spring.

I'm planning on making a hoophouse next year and the mini guava would be perfect to grow in there! Also the mini guava is beautiful in flower! Does it share the same nice aroma that a larger guava has?
