They are considered the best of the non-indica species around here and those from Bali and parts of Borneo seem to be favoured but there is much variation.I recently became aware of a couple of local farms with over 20 Mangifera species under cultivation and on a particular farm I know only 10 species are back in production after a cyclone 2 years ago. Locally it will be 2 months before they ripen but I bet they are all over the place in SE Asia with their seasons.

The fruit is more commonly found in Borneo and it's hard to find it.
But if you are interested with Mangifera odorata Griffith maybe I can get it.

Odorata, white and kasturi are 3 fairly common 'non-indica' mangoes (sorry oscar I still call them mangoes) but there are a few other quality species that are less common.

David, You should check with USDA. I can not ship Mango seeds. There a Beetle that is inside the seed of many mangoes. As it is impossible to inspect, USDA has a prohibition on mango seeds.

Doesn't look like you can get them from Indonesia to the mainland ...

"Mango (Mangifera spp.) - Prohibited from all sources except Guimaras Islands
(Republic of the Philippines) and North and South America (excluding Barbados,
the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe,
Martinique, St. Lucia St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago).
Prohibition not applicable to seeds imported into Guam, Hawaii, and the Northern
Mariana Islands."
