Hey Jonah, how's everything going for you guy's hope your staying safe and all at this weird year of covid and elections and all.
I see you have Lemon Gold w. sapote scions I would to get that variety again my original grafts failed and I here that is a good tasting variety. White sapote I can trade are Redlands,Michele,Yellow woolly leaf seedling with great yellow fleshed fruit (from Jack Swords), Maltby. Or I can pay for scion wood a couple to three pieces would be great! Hope all is going well with you we have just been working away on our little food forest and staying away from people pretty much.

Doing good thanks , all things considered, Fire smoke finally cleared out after 1 month and plenty of topsy turvy’ness. Giving thanks for having the gardens to work in and plants to propagate, the Jabo Nursery’s have been really catching a head of steam this year and looking really good.
I can always picture your garden and it is such a great sanctuary to explore and take care of as well to be sure. I’ll put the Lemon Gold in the mail for you Monday.
Would love some of Jack’s wooly yellow. I’ll PM my address.

Was checking how old normally do white sapotes seedlings need to be to graft them?
Mine are probably too small Maybe 2months old lol :) but very interested asap in get some scions from you.
Will you have scions next as well? These varieties look interesting.

Just hardened off rootstock 3/8” or larger is good for grafting.

Yes I prefer scissors ,but grinder is there for color contrast and because it was just right there. Haha

3/8 are you refering to the diameter of the root stock?
I will be sure to contact as soon as my children are ready.
Also some pointers on grafting. The first attempts on grafting my Eugenia Grum were total failure lol.
Are white sapotes easy to graft?
Btw do you also do any airlayers for sale?

Yes , 3/8” and larger rootstock, hardened off and actively flushing is good for grafting.
They are pretty easy to graft.
