I bet he mean 10 inches.
10 feet would be pretty impressive for 2 year old Nelita seedlings.

Kevin Jones

Correct 10 inches.

52
About 3 years from seed... which came from Miguel in Portugal.
I have five Nelitas and four have bloomed and fruited.
Still small and green... too soon to give a culinary report.
Here's what they look like now:

Kevin Jones

Wow, received mine from Miguel also and they are only 10' tall and seeds were planted 2 years ago.

How long did it take for your Nelita to fruit?

I don't use wax for my mango grafts. The Buddy Tape I use stays in place long enough for the
union to take.

The Lowes in St. Petersburg area (Park Blvd. and Belcher) has 3 Carries, 2 Mallika (3 gal) and one Kesar
that looks like a 7 gal. No price on the Kesar and the others were $33.

I have had good luck using the green stretch tie tape.

Yes I use the green nursery tape for My hibiscus grafting , But The birds are attracted to the green tape

I make sure to trim the loose ends so birds don't mistake them for worms or caterpillars or to use for nest building.
