My 7yrs old seedling in front of my house  has about 20 fruits. a few are a little smaller than my fist. Don't know variety as I often buy them from store and plant the seeds. This is the first time fruiting.

My trees drop it when it's hot, unfortunately.

I thought I posted this pic already but guess I didn't. Very few Moyas left on my tree.

I wonder if the Jan 20, 2017 cherimoya tasting is still on. I hope those trees are doing well.

I checked the website and it says Jan 13 now.

I'm glad that Socal cherimoyas have held up after all the rains. Looking forward to the tasting this Friday

It's good to know that the weather hasn't effected the Cherimoyas too much.  That should be good news for the SCREC tasting, I am looking forward to it.  It would be nice to have decent quality fruit there.

This "load" is not the norm for this season.  This is an exceptional sampling that may not be able to be matched by many, if any at this time.  First the heat, and now the rains, have deximated this year's crop.

Boy I wish this loan was sitting on my counter...

I don't know Rob,  you spoke too soon. We have a huge tasting this Friday with many more varieties and much superior fruits than what is shown in this pic above.

As you know, to a degree tastes are subjective.

Even with the load in the picture and your tasting, you cant argue the fact that the overall crop this season has been hit hard and a fraction of what it should be due to weather extremes.

Cherimoya crops have been on the decline the last few years. With the end of the brought insight we hope it improves in the coming years

Just got nice surprise from Peter, a giant Pierce. This should compensate for not being able to go to the SCREC tasting this Friday.

Wow Thera!  That could be used as a weapon.  Is it common for Pierce to get that large.  My Pierce is too small to fruit yet, so just curious.

Pierce can get pretty big. I've only recently started weighing fruits and I have no Pierce this year.

This is my first monster Pierce. I've never had one beyond 1 pound.

Peter should be congratulated. That Pierce is a monster. It could feed a whole family, or one very hungry Cherimoya lover!

Pierce range from 1-2lb. Here is one under two pounds. The drought has been tough on cherimoyas but crop and size will increase next season with all the rain
