Hi,
Can you graft a tahitian lime onto an orange tree?

Citrus General Discussion / How to grow this?
« on: March 01, 2016, 08:57:34 PM »
I saw this on facebook grown by the Italian citrus gurus.
I was just wondering how you would produce such a beast? Can you grow a trifoliata rootstock as a big trunk like that, or is it more likely to be an interstock that they've just chopped off and grafted the fingerlime onto the top?

Hi,
I have two young (2 year old) eureka lemon trees which each have a different leaf problem.
Just wondering if you guys can help me to workout the best course of action?

Citrus General Discussion / Graft rookie - will it grow?
« on: November 26, 2015, 02:28:53 AM »
Hi,
I'm patiently awaiting for my graft to sprout, do you think there is any hope?
I've broken the top of the tree as I saw demonstrated in a youtube video (to try and break apical dominance and force the bud to shoot)

Citrus General Discussion / No rootstock solution
« on: October 20, 2015, 08:17:41 PM »
My friend has some really cool citrus trees just right for taking budwood right now. Noone sells rootstock in my city and I haven't grown any. Could I get a cheap grafted tree from the local nursery and regraft onto the rootstock? I would then cut off the original graft once I get it going?

Citrus General Discussion / Finger limes - Jali red vs little ruby
« on: September 21, 2015, 03:09:53 AM »
Hi,
Does anyone know if the Jali red fingerlime is the same as little ruby?
I've bought both, because I think the Jali red is a bigger one.

They both have green skin and a red centre from the pictures that I have seen.

Citrus General Discussion / Finger limes from seed
« on: July 20, 2015, 09:00:52 AM »
Hi,
It seems like the only way to get the finger lime types I'd like to grow in WA is sprouting seeds. Would you recommend any tips for keeping them alive? All my other trees are grafted so very easy for monkeys like me to not kill them.

Citrus General Discussion / Citrus Glauca
« on: July 12, 2015, 11:27:01 PM »
Hi,
I recently purchased a grafted citrus glauca. (Australian bush lime)
Given it's grafted I just put it in a quality citrus potting mix, I assume the rootstock is similar to what my Eureka has as rootstock.

Does anyone have tips and knowledge on these ones?
I've read about it being native to some pretty ruthless desert environments, so it should be pretty tolerant of the occasional 40 degree Perth Scorcher.

Thanks,

Actually I just checked the rootstock used is Troyer Citrange.
