2 billion to own commercialization rights of pink purple flesh dragon fruit
This is the first time Vietnam scientists hybridized and established commercialization rights for breed of dragon fruit. Purple pink flesh dragon fruit LD 5 was registered by a company in Binh Thuan who bought the rights from Southern Fruit Research Institute for 2 billion.
Southern Fruit Institute for red flesh dragon reported that breed was not protected and taken by “impartial” countries. Therefore, the selling of commercialization rights of LD5 will mark a change in the consciousness of people about commercialization rights for plant, and will create a brand of Vietnam fruit in the international arena.
Flesh dragon fruit is pink purple and bred from classic red flesh dragon Long Dinh and Cho Gao dragon fruit, white-fleshed, with superior features such as strong bloom and almost throughout the year, with the ability to pollinate naturally to generate results.
