Samuel,

that's a beautiful arrangement of fruit!

Thanks Adam. Whenever i am participating in some plant event or market i always try and gather any fruits i can find around.

How is the chempedak grafted onto jack doing now?

i approach-grafted jack onto jack and that was easy-peasy.

I tried jack onto breadfruit but it died. The jack was very thin and the breadfruit had a very thick stem though.

Tomorrow i will try chempedak onto jack but near the stem on a hardwood branch, approach graft. They are both growing fast now so i think it is a good moment.

Later i will try marang onto them, i have a seedling but want to have it fruiting in a container so let's try.

all my cempedak on jak rootstock are doing lovely... some are bout a foot and half tall , starting to branch out, very healthy...slow growing though... i think some cempedak are just very slow growing compared to a typical jackfruit...

I see, that is great news! I will try it as well.

I read somewhere that marang and breadfruit are also compatible so i also will try that soon. I have a big stemmed breadfruit which is making sidebranches now and my seedling marangs are growing well now. I wonder what the breadfruit rootstock will do with the marang, i hope for the dwarfing effect though.
