I went to a friends property who has a large 7 year old SirPrize. His fruit hold on the tree until April. I was amazed at the size of his fruits some 2.5 pound. Check one of his SP vs mine

Wow, what fine looking fruit.  Curious, how large is his tree?  Reason why I ask, until I killed it I had a Sir Prize that was going into my greenhouse.

It is a most unusual tree. I'm curious to see how it does her. It was been building flower buds since mid October. It stayed in the flower bud stage until early this month that the inflorescence began to expand I saw the first open flower yesterday March 14, 2014. I have never since the process of flowering so long in an avocado.  It is really a unique tree this Sir Prize.
