problem with new bananas...
« on: October 02, 2019, 09:16:57 AM »

The the above pics are from two plants i have for about 2 months. This are the second leafes that are appearing. For some reason they seem to tear appart and mix with the next upcoming leafes.... Has anyone had this problem? what can i do to fix them?

Don’t worry about it. They will correct themselves as they get bigger.
Mine did the exact same thing. I unrolled the leaf manually by hand once or twice, it ripped the leaf but I think it may have helped, you can try this or just leave it alone and see what happens. Here’s a picture of my trees this morning. My leafs were sticking together about two months ago but no problems since. Also, Get them in the ground if you can, they really take off once you do.

Nam wah is prone to different fungi. Including cigar disease.
I wonder how fast they make fruit in your zone.
Here bananas se fruit in 2 years.

No worries and thank you! Unfortunately I can’t help you out with your other questions as I just started growing bananas myself and haven’t seen those other problems that you have going on. Hope you get some great tasting nanas out of your trees! Good luck!
