Holy macaroni that's a huge list! Any personal favorites in there?

Are you gonna be open for fruit sales in April?

Yes, a few we really like that don’t get as much attention as some of the more well known others:

Ah Ping (bbs prone)
Gaylour
Giselle
Little Gem
Mapulehu
Mario (bbs prone)
Maya
Panchadara Kalassa
Sein Ta Lone
Step
ST Maui
Sunrise
White Piri
40-26

Also I need to edit the master list since there are some other varieties we’re growing that may be large enough to be harvesting budwood from as well.

I think we will have mango fruit ready to sell  by appointment within a couple weeks. Probably open for regular hours in second half of April.

It’s a julie seedling but flavor is more like Gary. Our own tree struggled with a micro deficiency for a while so hasn’t grown as much as it should. It doesn’t seem to have the male flower problems Gary has though, so a potentially much more productive Gary improvement. Still evaluating it and probably need to topwork a stump to it to get a better picture of its performance.

What variety would you recommend for rootstock?

Depends on where you live,  in Florida I would go with terpintine,
im in cali, I like my Kent seedling to use as rootstock since I have a fruiting tree I can start a bunch of seedlings for rootstock,

Most of us who have been collecting for a while don't really have space for more trees, so I've just been topworking existing trees to be multi-cultivar :D.

What variety would you recommend for rootstock?

If you’re growing in containers, a dwarfing stock might be preferable (we grow on called Piva, but there are others).

For Florida soils Turpentine is proven And preferred but not a necessity. It handles nematodes and higher pH soils reasonably well and comes true from seed more than 80% of the time.

In California soils on the other hand, Manila seems to work much better than turpentine more often than not.

We do have Hass but don’t grow Reed. I think the avocado scions will be ready in a month or so after the new growth has had an opportunity to harden off.

Ok whenever they are ready, I'll take two scions of whatever the best tasking Avocado you have is that will grow and fruit here.

Very nice list.

Got seedling Mahachanoks growing up at the moment.  I'll be sure to grab some of these scions once they're old enough to start working.
