scattering cherimoya seeds
« on: May 22, 2020, 06:28:49 AM »
in January i bought some cherimoya fruits from the store and i have 50 seeds that i want to plant them. Could i have good results by just scattering the seeds in my farm (locations that are watered regularly) and expect good results or should i grow them in pots in the beginning?
Same question with passiflora ligularis and yellow passionfruit

In my experience pots are better to start with for Annona-

Depends a lot on the local bugs/animals that may chomp on young seedlings or carry your seeds off

I experienced that with kiwano seedlings maybe 50-60 had sprouted and the next day they were gone with no trace of what had happened. (only one location with 7 is still there but will be gone soon)
Annonas arent supposed to have toxins in their leaves for bugs/animals ??

They will sprout if you leave them around.  Easy to start in pots too.
