I've had more luck growing atemoyas than cherimoyas here.
If it's a cherimoya, I have it on an atemoya rootstock.
Dr. White, Booth and Honey Heart grow well for me here.

They're more resistant to rot with the amount of rain and overcast we get here.
IIamas don't grow well here, even on atemoya rootstock.
Rollinia, very cold hardy here for some reason.
Soursop, haven't had any luck unless they're grown from seed or on atemoya rootstock.
I have several sugar apples, they are very cold hardy for some reason.
Frost does damage their leaves, but they bounce back very well.

That is interesting information. I had not heard that before. How are Dr. White, Booth and Honey Heart taste wise? I like sweeter Cherimoyas more.

How do I know if my citrus trees need iron? Their leaves are yellow or very light green. Is that the sign of shortage of iron?

Buy chelated iron and spray the trees with it.

I have "Ironite". Should I use that instead? If yes, how much per plant? Do it only once a year in spring or more?

If Ironite is not a good idea then how often and when I should spray liquid chelated iron?

I have 1-2 year old citrus trees that are in ground. They are about 2 to 3 feet tall. I have Satsuma and Kinnow mandarins, Clementine tangerines, eureka lemon, etc. I live in zone 9b in Sacramento California. Leaf’s are turning yellow, and are thinning out. I see no new growth or blooms. I cannot see any pests on them. I think they are in need of feeding. I gave them citrus fertilizer last year during summer and that’s it.
What kind of fertilizer I need to give them, how much and how often so they grow well?

They've pretty much ended that due to over-attendance. Their grove can only handle so many interested people and interest in annonas has been surging as of late. Additionally fluctuations in weather have caused recent crops to be marginal at best, and difficult for anyone without a greenhouse to produce with any consistency.

There aren't a whole lot of commercial operations specializing in annona, and if they are, they probably have a few varieties instead of a large number.

That is very disheartening. I was looking forward to trying many different varieties. Are there any sellers of Cherimoya varieties in California? I would like to buy fruit from them. According to some fruit lovers, Cherimoya is the number one tasting fruit. I believe that too but maybe right behind Anwar-Ratol mango.

Do you grow annona squamosa aka sugar apple? My in-laws have them and they survived 27f in 2017 with just leaf damage. I know it's not a Cherimoya but a good substitute.

I am not very fond of sugar apple taste. I would like to grow Cherimoya if possible.

I have been trying to grow Cherimoya from seeds for a few years in Sacramento California area but no luck.  The summer growth is good but plants die in winter. I did not provide any protection and temperature got as low as 26F some nights. I guess I needed to plant them in pots and give protection in winter by moving them inside or covering with blankets or Christmas lights.
After reading several posts it looks like that Pierce, El Bumpo, Orton and Dream are the best tasting varieties. Would these varieties survive and fruit in my area? Do they have high seed count in them?
