Hello,

I found a very nice FREE Banana monograph.

"ACIAR has funded research in Western Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands in collaboration with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries to introduce banana varieties resistant to the highly damaging leaf disease black sigatoka. This guide will aid the introduction and adoption of appropriate disease-resistant varieties by assisting with their classification and identification through keys, lists and photographs."

Hello,

I already looked at the recommended seed vendors. They all sold out on Rollinia deliciosa.  :(
Who sell 50 Rollinia (Rollinia deliciosa) SEED to me ?

Yes, I would love to buy plants, but our current plant import legislation is written (literally) by the New Zealand fruit industry.
And the NZ  fruit industry don't like competition from little guys. So they made a plant import cost a minimum of $2000 NZD (more likely $8000-10000 NZD). And it takes 6 to 36 month.
And it is very difficult to find someone skilled enough and willing to go through the less official alternative...
But seed import is no problem (if correct packed and labelled).
That's why seeds, because some of you asked "Why would one go for seed when you can have plants?".

Edit: Numbers of seeds increased.

I'm moving soon to a new property.
Annual Climate Averages:
Air temperature         15ºC
Solar radiation         14.9 Mega Joule per m2 / day
Rainfall            1482.8 mm
>16ºC Growing Degrees Units   328.8
Frost free days         * 365 *  :-)))

cheers
 Andy
