Visited Trees-n-More today and picked up a few nice trees!
« on: July 27, 2017, 03:58:21 PM »
Had a nice visit with Mike at Trees-N-More today in Palm City. It's nice to have a tree source up this way (I'm in Vero Beach).

He gave us the tour, saw some healthy beehives, some full sized trees and he brought some fruit out for us to sample of trees we bought.

My buddy picked up a Glenn and an Angie while I (at my wife's request) picked up a Lemon Zest and a Lemon Meringue. I also grabbed a Strawberry tree since mine died back in 2010.

He had a nice variety of figs, mangos, carambola, etc... Thanks Mike!

Mike and I are long time members of the Treasure Coast Rare Fruit club.  Been to his place dozens of times times.  He always keeps up with the latest in great mangos.  Like Lemon Zest and Sweet Tart.

Mike is a good guy! Not sure if he is still making wines but his homemade fruit wines are the best.

I'm not sure but he did mention making a Surinam wine with the dark Surinam's... ;)

Back in 2010 we had temps (in my yard) that were below 30 degrees for 7-8 hours each night of the freezes. Mango's were killed back to the main trunks as well, that was a year for the books. :-\
