I've never grafting anything before in my life, but this looks interesting:

$29. Is it worth a try? I still need to try grafting my passionfruit vine this coming spring . . . .
Sunset 23/USDA 11a, Elev. 783', Frost free since 8,000 BC. Plagued by squirrels, gophers, and peafowl, but coming to terms with it!

Only good for temperate zone, dormant, quite hard wood.

If you're going to use a tool like that, then this one is an improvement. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Garden-Flower-Fruit-Tree-Professional-Nursery-Grafting-Tool-Pruner-Scissor-Set/361959039119

The 2 blades are at an angle to the wood so you get a slicing action instead of the wedging action of the orange-black tool. The blades will last longer that way too, and you can sharpen them yourself since they're straight blades and not shaped in a complicated way.

What these tools don't work on are small grafts.

The tool looks like it cut the branch/scion sideway which would bruise the things. You want clean lengthwise cuts. Just like sharpening pencil, you will do better than these tools.

Agreed!. Just watch a few youtube's video, then practice a dozen or so times, you'll get
the hang of it pretty quick...
