There are so many cool, tasty, and interesting fruits that remain unknown to the general population in the United States.

What, if any fruits could become more popular in the coming years?

I’d say jackfruit is a safe bet.

Good pick! I have been seeing them pop up more and more in grocery stores.

They seem pretty trendy with the health/veg/vegan crowd. I imagine they’ll be more popular as a canned vegetable than as a fresh fruit, but popular nonetheless!

From the research I have done I have no reason to think it couldn't grow in San Diego, in fact I have heard there may be a commercial nursery working with a grower in Central / North California area to commercialize it in California, if true the wait is long. Myself and few who tried have almost given up on trying to grow it from seeds, they are extremely difficult.
