I guess I am a day late for the soursop, I never looked in the top of the tree

Anybody else get that white stuff growing on theirs? Fungus?
It still tasted pretty good, my first taste ever. :D

Soursop?  All the ones I have seen are green on the outside with a  creamy white inside ;)

Wow, you ate that. I had two of my first ever crop drop this week while I was away due to ant and mealy bug infestation combined with the stupid bloody cultivar that tries to ripen through the winter. They turned brown/grey and dropped. The tree is just about on its last warning. The fruits smelled like mountain soursop.

I waited 4yrs for my first fruit tasting.
It was green under that white stuff.
The ants did not eat a lot.
I filleted the larger chunks into pieces that were not exposed to the air and it was creamy white.

Congratulations on your first fruit!  After all that waiting, I understand the desperation.

Was it good?

Eeww!  That looks like more than 1 day too late!
I am glad you liked it, just think what you will think of one that is actually edible!

I am keeping a sharp eye tuned to this tree from now on, it was quite tasty. Just waiting for a fresh (green) one now.

Haha that is unworldly and nasty looking, but I really have to admit - If that was my tree, I'd be desperate enough to know what a Soursop tastes like to try and find some portion of white in it for a general idea on taste.  :D
Growing tropical edibles in a non-tropical place. Always hungry to add more to my collection too!

I found two of these on my soursop tree this week, going to keep a closer eye on it this time. ;) Sure hope these fruits beat any cold fronts on the way. I started watering the tree hoping to expedite its ripening process. Usually I let the tree fend for itself in the hydration department.
Is it normal for it to be fruiting off season?

Yeah a bunch of trees in my neighborhood have fruit about the same size right now. But then again we have had a pretty warm winter so far...

I was desperate and took one from my tree and wrapped it in a bag and left it in the garage for a week and it was still pretty good.

Your problem is marketing.

It is not a bland watery avocado, its a Slimcado!

It is not a gross moldy soursop left over from the pre-cambian era, its a Truffle tree fruit!

I want two, do you ship?
