Sylvain's Longheensis tree is the tallest siingle stem trunk with almost no side growth I have ever seen.  When a tree becomes root bound its growth becomes straight up, like toothpaste squirted out of the tube.

Now it is in ground.

Sylvain, how is it doing right now? How hardy is it?

It was grown in a pot at the foot of an apple tree. It had to grow strait to reach the light at the top of the tree.
It spent several years without any protection and had no damages at all.
I decided to put in in ground in full sun... and the upper two thirds froze. 
Last winter no damage occurred.
I think it did not like to go from pot to ground.

it seems it is cold hardy  but not extremely cold hardy.

Yeah, how did you get it though? Did you go where its native to and got its seeds?

In the Citrus variety of UCR they say "Tall, vigorous, upright trees" and "trees are very vigorous, tall and columnar".
And it's true!
