First yellow dragon fruit!
« on: March 11, 2015, 02:02:11 AM »
Well after about 10 months I harvested my first dragon fruit today... And it was delicious!  Way bigger than what I've seen sold in farmers markets too.  All the thorns easily brushed off and I knew it was ready to go.   Can't wait for next set of flowers and fruits to come along.

With 3 acres of prime real estate for growing tropicals... why not create my own garden of eden?? Work in progress

Congratulations, the yellow Dragonfruit is very good tasting. First year it fruiter, I only got a couple fruit, last year I got about 70-80 fruit. It seems the fewer fruit a branch holds, the larger the size of the fruit. Some of my branches held 3 fruit in close proximity and they were smaller. The singletons were much larger. There are some selections that grow larger.
