So. Fla. GREAT firewood

The last few years the firewood I've been getting from lowes and HD have been rotten recovered forest tree falls, at $7-8 (#1.00 per quarter log) per bag full of mildew and rot. Recently they started carrying some type of "wood" not suitable for smoking or cooking which I do need for my chiminea and smoker.

So I called the ad in Craig's list for "South Florida Firewood" and got 100 1/4 logs of OAK, and Australian pine, both excellent fireplace, chiminea, fire pit  and smoking woods. These were 70 cents each, dry, and seasoned just perfect. Never again will I buy the junk in the home centers.

This guy is one of the FEW vendors I have bought from and delighted in a product other than Excalibur whose fertilizer is the best stuff (go get some) I ever bought.

Oak and Australian pine are ok for smoking. Just be careful, Australian pine burns hotter then most smoking wood types.
