What's your least favorite fruit and why????

yea looking back at when i started this thread, i've changed quite a bit, i like surinam cherries now for sure, i used to hate them....and still don't enjoy the resin flavor, but some just taste better than others (have less offensive resin)....they are so easy to grow, i have them grafted, and planted all over my farm

Any chance of getting some seeds of good tasting Surinam?

Yes, I am a fruit addict.
But, there are some fruits, which I won’t eat at any cost.
Here is my list,
1. Passion fruit
2. Watermelon
3. Papaya

Green unripe passion fruits are poisonous. Must be eaten fully ripe.

I bought an annona sp. Golden Sugar apple seedling on ebay
once. The seller said it was a delicious fruit he found in an abandoned
property's yard. After two years, my tree fruited...the fruit was bland,
slimy soapy with a slight melon fragrance...I chopped

I would say Barbados cherry.  People claim they they taste great.  My son wanted a cherry so bad and you cannot grow a traditional cherry in Phoenix metro.  What I hate the most is that the tree grows great.  Looks super healthy, I can leave the fruit on until it turns black and it still tastes horrible!

The quality of a fruit tree shouldn't be evaluated by the first crop. The same tree can produce a few juvenile crops of just so-so fruit and awesome fruits later. A tree of just two years is a baby.

I assume that you have the right species. Barbados cherry is an acidic fruit. Can be eaten with sugar to fix the acidity or cooked, but the flavour would be probably closer to sour cherries than to sweet cherries.

Minnie royal and royal need at least 50% shade to grow well in AZ.  The people that grow them out here struggle to keep them alive and do not have much yield.  I don't have enough property to grow something so difficult.
