A person is selling this species and has only that photo... he call it "corazón de la india", "heart of India", but looking for that name on the net they say it's guanabana...

It should be another thing... dont you know?

Yes the flesh can be a bit slimy and lemony in a good way. Rollinia is one of the best Annonaceae and they are grown commercially around here and vary quite a bit.

The tips can blacken but they are still good inside.

I thought it was a Biriba also until I saw the seeds. They don't look like Rollinia seeds.

You must be right, Mike, and that makes the tips look very wide. And with the round shape, the seeds really look like longan seeds.

Seeds vary a lot and in some fruit they are as broad as they are long. They are not as regular as most Annonas. I have some here right now.

It's a rollinia. Seeds are a bit shorter than mine, but the fruit is also quite squat and has smaller protuberances than mine does. Still the same species though. I'm eating a few a day at the moment on top of sugar apples from the yard. It's a damn good fruit and the thick skin makes it a joy to eat...

Ok, thanks, so for sure I should get it... I see it's from amazonia, so the greenhouse will be needed and a very hot place in the garden too; it resist to -2º C only...

here (1) they say that it starts bearing fruit at 4 years old: how long did your trees took to produce biribá?

This looks like my Malaysia rollinia which has texture  like a mango variety "white".
Not sure if they are the same species.

They are the same Rock and R.mucosa and R.deliciosa are now the same species. These fruit vary a great deal. The giant sputnik rollinias from here are an eye-popping fruit.

3 years from seed. They are fast growing and fast fruiting. Not hard to keep pruned under 10ft though.

In which province seller live? What diameter of fruit?
I suspect that this fruit is not more than 5-6 cm in diameter. Since seeds clearly small.
If so, this is Rollinia, but not Rollinia deliciosa "Biriba".
It may even be Rollinia sericea (by the way one of the most cold-resistant):

AlexRF: I dont know about the fruit size, he lives in Misiones, I will ask; the man told me "here the fruit is sweet and tasty, the taste is weird, do not compare it with that... is not acidic, is the most flavorful of all annonas"

So, you have Rollinia sericea? how about the taste?

"here the fruit is sweet and tasty, the taste is weird, do not compare it with that... is not acidic..."
The same can be said about A. sericea and some other Rollinias...

I think it worth to buy these seeds, measure them and plant. In any case, you will be satisfied.
Anestor Mezzomo grows A. sericea and very praises its fruit.
By the way, Annona sericea grows in Misiones, neighboring Paraguay, Parana, Santa Catarina...
http://sites.unicentro.br/wp/manejoflorestal/9517-2/

Probably Annona sericea and Asimina triloba can grow outdoor in your area.
I mean if seller's seeds less than 1 cm its no Biriba.

Do you have any small "uncommon" Annonas by Northern Argentina?
For example Annona nutans habitat mostly Paraguay and Misiones...

Hi Alex, I bought a plant, not seeds, and it was the last plant he had (I insisted in buying 2, but he said he has only one left...), so, rollinia is not here yet, will be arriving in 1 or 2 days, I will report, also, he said that the fruit size is bigger than sericea; no, I dont have any other rollinias yet, but I will be collecting them :-D
