I will! I've had many packets of seeds sent to me here in Venezuela with no problems whatsoever except for some long transit times. I've had good luck getting some fresh tropical seeds (coffee, eugenia, açaí) mailed in substrate already sprouted and they've done really well even after more than a month in transit. Sometimes the packages arrive quite quickly, one or two have been lost in some kind of postal black hole - seems like a crap shoot. I also have received live turmeric rhizomes with no problem, although technically that might not be allowed it doesn't seem to be enforced. Hope that helps!
Thank you Zafra,
Your information is very helpful.

Congratulations on your nursery opening,Adam.

Hi guys,

After looking for information, I finally found the answer.
The fruit that was i thought Garcinia is Diospyros malabarica.
Many people here do not know this fruit, because it turns the fruit in here is already rare.
I really sorry because the fruit has been incorrectly identified.

Here is the pictures:

Maryoto, you screwed up your images somehow, I see you added "Unknown Garcinia Species", could you please add a picture of this so someone can indentify it? I might be interested in seeds for it once it gets indentified.
Sorry about the picture Annon,
I picked it up from a camera phone, I'll try to take pictures tomorrow.

Micah & Kapiak

Hi guys,
Once I got the post from you and some members,i'm looking for the information but i don't find pieces of information what fruit that i have.
Now i'm doubt if what I have is Garcinia prainiana.
I thought it was Garcinia priniana.
The fruit that I have not like Garcinia, is similar mangostana fruit but has a yellow color.
Although this fruit has a sweet taste, but the taste is very different from the mangostana.

I'll try to take a picture of leaves and tree tomorrow.

The only real problem is the long transit time , in the best situation one month , usually closer to 1 1/2 - 2 months ..not good for tropical seeds. A lot arrive rotten or just dead . Fortunately quite a few of our members are doing a great job packing the right way , this is not obvious , some seeds can be shipped dry others need to be packed in very slightly moist medium with the risk of mold.
Well,
May be you can give us info, what seeds that should be shipped dry and what seeds that need to be packed in very slightly moist.
Your information is certainly very useful for forum members.

MEXICO

Basically the import is not allowed but rarely enforced , I receive packages all the time opened by Customs , closed again , a stamp on it ( inspected ) and delivered .
That's great Luc,
Maybe just the import large quantities that is prohibited by your state.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / REGULATION OF SEED DELIVERY TO YOUR COUNTRY
« on: December 27, 2013, 02:03:34 PM »
Can you give me all the information about each country's regulations for the import of seeds, such as:

1.Is your country prohibit the import of all kinds of seeds or only some types of seeds that are banned?

2.Do you have any suggestions and tips to send the seeds without breaking the rules of your country?

3.If your country prohibit the import of all kinds of seeds, Do you have a way to import seeds without smuggling?

Your information will be very useful for me to send seeds.
I'm studying the regulation of seed delivery to your country,so the seed that will I send to you can arrive at your home.

If there is a message from you guys and i'm not yet replying, please be patient.
Because i'm helping my friend's wedding right now, I would immediately reply to your message.
