Mulgoba Mango
« on: June 19, 2012, 09:14:55 PM »
I picked up two Mulgoba Mangos that had fallen from the tree at the Redlands Fruit and Spice Park this past weekend. Cut one of them tonight and it was fantastic the flavor was outstanding. The taste was similar to a good Haden with a much better texture. Overall, I would rate this old time variety a 8.5 of 10. ;D

The Haden is a cross between the Mulgoba and Turpentine.  I agree, the Mulgoba is a very decent tasting fruit.

I have also had them at the F&S Park , a few years ago.  I agree, and I also liked it a lot.  I felt it was definately a variety I wanted to grow.  I currently have it topworked on my NDM.  Hopefully it will produce in the next season, and I am looking forward to trying it again 😊

I had one Saturday at F&S park and it was awesome.  It was the best mango that I have tasted since tasting an Edwards.  I wish I had space for another mango tree.  I would like to topwork that one in.
