Here are some pictures of a canarium specie from Vanuatu I have recently discovered at a friend's place. It might be named already but could not find any info about it. It is different from the famous Canarium indicum ( ngali nut ) from which one make Nangai oil . Canarium indicum is very popular in Vanuatu but that one is pretty rare which is surprising as I think the nut is more valuable and tasty compared to ngali nut.
Actually the seed is a lot bigger compared to Canarium indium and pretty tasty. You can eat while not yet fully ripe. The tree is not so big/tall, and makes a really nice ornamental. Flowers are amazing too.
Anyway if anyone has more info or know the right id of that specie, that would be great to know.
