Ultra rare Eugenia florida tree for sale. It's a big plant, almost 4 years old, about 2 ft tall and 2 ft wide NOT counting the container. If you would want it shipped, we'd have to work on pruning it and getting it to fit in a box and work out shipping cost. I'm in Los Angeles if you'd like to pick up for free.

Taste reports of this fruit are that it's really good.

I haven't seen a E. florida of this size offered before. $150 firm, if you want to outbid someone, go right ahead! I have two trees this size, the second one maybe a few inches smaller. I may have a third, just need to measure it for size.

Awesome greenhouse setup and really organized.  Your plants are obviously happy enough despite the cold winters in your area.

Brian...yeah...moisture during the winter months is really bad.  The gas heaters are wonderful, but really cause a wet environment.  All of my trees were in ground, so cleaning the glass was a pain in the butt.  It was a circus show with me balancing on the ladder blasting away with a big power washer all the while trying not to strip the plants from the pressured water.

I forget the mfg of my two corner ceiling fans, but they lasted since 2006.  Not sure how they still operated.  Pretty much fell apart when I took them down for safety.  Had one ceiling fan that helped and relied on several floor, oscillating fans to move air and branches.

I always pined away about having a better growing zone to grow anything I wanted.  Now that I have it, it really isn't all as great as I hoped!  7 month complete drought periods with terribly high temps and even more terrible low humidity is challenging.  My trees in the greenhouse fared and looked better.  I do miss the greenhouse.  I had several specimens ready to fruit and I missed out.  Hopefully the new owners are following my directions!  LOL!

Not sure why you'd move from pots to root builder. The outside tree's roots will just take over the RB pots.

There is a way to rid the GH of outside roots without taking out the trees. Trench around the GH about 3-4ft deep. Install heavy duty root barrier into the trench. That way your GH trees can root into the ground without competition.

I mean I've heard that, too, but my greenhouse was in the low 40s most nights when my key limes started their spring flush. The mandarins didn't start theirs until the lows got above 50°F almost a month later.

I also have had one potted key lime outside since early February, and it started its spring flush almost a month ago, with overnight lows regularly in the upper 30s to low 40s at that time. The Persian limes and Kishu mandarin that I also put outside at that same time have only just barely started their spring flush in the last week or so, about a month later than the key lime.
