Slightly shady, acid soil conditions? Sounds ripe for blueberries. But we just don't have the chilling hours they need down here. Not sure of any tropical varieties, but Wiki does list species of vaccinium growing in Hawaii and Madagascar.I do know pomegranates like acid soil. But they might require more sunlight than your location offers.
