Thanks for posting.  I am looking forward to the day when the topic is: mangoes that aren't boring to mango snobs  :P
or maybe more diplomatic:  The mangoes of Zill

Yeah, let's propose that theme for next year: Mangos of Zill.

Yeah, let's propose that theme for next year: Mangos of Zill.

If they ever did a Zill Mangos year, the Curators Choice would probably be:

Carrie
Dot
Gary

And

Angie
Fairchild
Mallika
Nam Doc Mai
Rosigold
Cogshall
Manilita

Might be a big demand for Biscochuelo so I hope they graft a lot of the right kind of Biscochuelo because I think there are a few competing ones. JF is the Biscochuelo expert.

That is cause people are most likely passing off grafted seedlings vs the real thing.  I would dare say Richard  ampbell and Gary Zill are far more of an expert than Frank  (and I mean no disrespect to Frank).

I kind of remember Dr. Campbell, a year or two ago, mentioning some  great new varieties that are in the pipeline.

I thought this would be the year they would be highlighted at the festival.   :-[

None taken Rob. Bizcochuelo is a regional mango grown in Santiago Cuba in el caney. It's unique soil and  expectional climate make it one of the best mango in the world. I don't know how it will compare grown in homestead I suspect it will be a disappointment like Alfonso.
