I liked this version a little bit more than the CBC version even though this version had 30 seconds less of me. The reason there are two versions is that the film was funded by the Canadian government and they required the more educational version as well. This version is much different and definitely worth buying a copy.
I guess I'd have to go back and see the Canadian versions to see exactly where they differ, but the obvious difference was that it has a lot more scenes with Bill Pullman and his efforts to establish a community orchard. He's a really likable guy and he makes the movie a whole lot better. Jaime

I thought it was very good and thoroughly enjoyed it, I will confess to my fruit tree geek status plus I was in bed under the influence of Vicodin after my minor surgery! Seriously I thought it was excellent. Mike
