I went there about a week ago and unfortunately they only have the 3 gallon size. They looked to be about 3 - 4 ft tall which is nice for  a 3 gallon. The thing is that Excalibur would not let you go into their citrus greenhouse and the person who is showing you around would have to carry each plant out for you to see it. I would like to see what citrus they have, but I didn't want my host to be carrying all the trees out just for viewing. My last resort is to come up there and pick up the 3 gallons even though it's a 3 hr drive. I would have to justify the drive by going to a few more places down there :)

I've been to a few home depot to check out their fruit trees but never ran across a finger lime. I will continue checking for a few more weeks.

Which home depot are you referring to ? Maybe I should give them a call .

That's really really nice. Those are some beautiful flowers. I'll try to get my hands on a few finger limes this upcoming month :)

I forgot to ask, how long is the period between flowering and harvesting ?

I purchased mine at the Manatee Rare Fruit Councils tree sale. The next sale is May 20th at the Bradenton Area Convention Center if you don’t find one before then.

If there are going to be some at the Bradenton Area Convention Center then I will definitely hold out since its in my neck of the wood. Excalibur Nursery is more than a 3 hr drive from here in Bradenton for me. May I ask did see you any 7 gallon Finger Lime there when you purchased your tree ? Thanks.

FloridaFruits,
I don't usually pay careful attention to the fruit as I don't eat it that much. The only time i like these are for eating raw oyster.

Maybe I see a few fruits throughout the year.  But it has the most fruits in the summer.
I have an overbearing bears lime. That lime tree gives me limes throughout the year.  More than the fingerlime. I can't really compare the fruits capacity since the bears lime is about 10X bigger and its in the ground. Fingerlime is in a pot.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on adding 3 finger limes to my collection since I don't think they fruit too much. I just wish the fruit is sold somewhere so I can have a taste.

The Home Depot stores had 7 and 10 gallon Red Finger limes a month ago in my area. I don't  see them now. You can try your local Flea Market. I ordered one for a friend of mine at our FM.
