pomelo/grapefruit

I got couple of pomelo/grapefruit from one of my friend.  It is semi firm, very juicy, very strong flavor and not to acid.

I really like pummelos.  I am looking forward to the next crop on my Chandler maturing, and trying the Valentine fruit for the first time.

My Chandlers are always dry and tasteless.  Maybe I should pick then earlier when they are still rather green instead of waiting till December when they turn uniformly yellow.  if that doesn't work, it 11 years wasted and I will have to replace.

 When pummels are dry, there are many factors that can be responsible.  A common cause of dry fruit is when they are left too long on the tree after they are fully ripe.  If a tree receives too little water while in fruit, this can cause drying.

I’ve been picking them in November/December. Perhaps September would be better. My other citrus nearby do not suffer from dryness.

My valentine is flowering this year.  let me know what they taste like.  Are they worth it.
