Please help me identify soil type

With recent rain, i started to dig out some dirt in my garden for a retaining wall. The rain soften the soil but i cannot identify soil type. It is not clay because it is very hard and sandy but it is not sand like the beach sand where everything turn into grains.

Maybe decomposed granite and some limestone
