Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: What rootstock can be used for grumichama?
« on: November 07, 2018, 04:35:05 AM »
thats guava leaves - psidium sp., that for sure is not compatible rootstock for grumi.

Grumichama lived on this for 2 months but it made new branches under that graft...i did not cut them all the time so the graft died.

I have more grumichama and will try it myself...i saw grumichama for sale again but don't know if grafted.

. Immerse the seeds in whiting water for 1 hours, then wash with water and drain it. Drain the
seed up, then peel the seed if want to immediately use, and store in an airtight container if saving the
seed is desired

What is whiting water? I don't know....

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Rambutan seed drink
« on: November 01, 2018, 10:03:59 PM »
Have you try this?

Treat diabetes
Method: wash and dried Rambutan seeds normally 4 - 6 seeds per time and mashed up into powder structure. Then added some water and drink it. Drink it 1 time a day.

The fruit has been employed in traditional medicine in Malaysia and Indonesia for hundreds of years as a treatment for diabetes, hypertension and various ailments. Besides the antioxidants obtained in its beta carotene and vitamin C, the rambutan pulp, seeds and skin have strong, plant based, antioxidants called flavonoids. Certain kinds of flavonoids are believed to reduce cholesterol and possess anti-cancerous, anti-inflammatory attributes.

The Rambutan seeds I’ve accumulated add up to several hundred.

The seeds have been obtained from multiple vendors  selling Rambutan originating in 4, 5 or more countries in Central and South America. Even though I got a few more Rambutan fruit today, I think we may be at the end of the Season. It appears that Rambutan stores very well inside a bag that’s inside a box, that’ Inside a bag, that’s in an Ice Bath.

I’ve been keeping the seeds together in paper cups (and nothing else) in a corner of the residence that is away from the nearest window. And, to my surprise, I noticed that one of the seeds did this:

You can make a tree with many rootstocks grafted to 1....that will grow better..
