Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Macadamia question

Hear is a recent photo of my ten year old beaumont Macadamia that is flowering now. It's over 5 meters tall and continues to grow. Over time it will get much bigger.

In compatible root stock.  My Meiwa was grafted to incompatible Kuharske Citrange so I planted a flying dragon 1 inch away and did an approach graft and cut out the Kuharske.

This is on the smaller size of producing macadamia trees I've seen.

nice tree, i hope i can get mine to fruit at a smaller size, wonder if i wait a bit for the plant to get bigger and air layer a branch, would this branch fruit t a smller size afterwards?

Mostly just interested in these varieties as they seem most appropriate containerization and my climate. I have a root stock and my other avocado 'Bacon' has yet to set fruit.

Don't get your hopes up too much for container growth of any avocados, unless you're planning a huge container (50+ gal? 100+ really?). I would recommend planting in the ground in a greenhouse instead, or outdoors with protection. Mine grow very well here in Seattle, other than the few days each winter when it's in the teens, killing them above ground.

I can probably share scionwood of some hardy types in a few months as well if you want, but everything is flowering right now, so can't cut at the moment. I don't have the two you listed, but do have a couple dozen others. Feel free to PM for the list of cultivars that are currently large enough to spare a few sticks when they finish flowering.

Wow, didn't know you grew so many fruit trees in your greenhouse, very nice and healthy trees.

Nice video G

Brain, maybe you should add the giant yellow passion fruit vine in one area of your greenhouse. Fruit tastes good.

Hey Bri,

I have some that have been in 5 gallon pots for about a year. I am willing to sell/ship but it will be more expensive due to already being potted up. Thanks.
