Yellow Dragon Fruit Pollen Needed
« on: July 22, 2017, 11:47:04 AM »
Looking for yellow dragon fruit (selenicereus megalanthus) pollen to pollinate my lone first flower. I can send a few things back in trade, such as some seeds from the cross, various plant cuttings to choose from, or can pay shipping and labor.

I've read that they are self fertile and usually pollinate well enough naturally. But the fruit size is considerably smaller, with lower brix and seed count unless they get some help with the process.

Yeah, probably even a flower on the same plant would work. There is only one for now. She's not ready for cuttings, but will keep you in mind ;)

...and any other variety of fresh dragon fruit pollen is also welcome. Not feeling picky right now, might even be better to cross it with something. Any advice is welcomed, this is my first fruit on a dragon fruit plant, although I've been growing a few varieties for a while now. Do not know what I am doing, lol.
