Mystery Garcinia from southern Brazil

Between 2 and 4 years ago I received many Brazilian Garcinias which I spread around and surprisingly some are starting to fruit already.The label of this one was transposed incorrectly and its identity is unknown.It is larger than achachairu and sweeter and from what I am told it is better quality.Can anyone positively identify it?

It just dawned on me that bucupari is G.gardneriana.

It would be nice to know how big those trees are. What kind of fertilizer did the trees receive that they gave fruits so quickly?

          Could you please let me know the size of your Bacupari. Here in my garden they grow wild. Compared to Achachairu mine are
smaller and more sour to taste.

It is 3.5 years old and had a generous regime of fertiliser application with lots of micros and potash as it is on the Salleras farm. I have not seen the tree in fruit was told they are a little larger than achachairus and a little sweeter. The photo makes it look smaller than that species. I recall receiving a selection of this species which allegedly was sweeter than most.

Looks like Garcinia intermedia, well the flower and the fruit.

Similar to intermedia but slightly larger fruits. From reports I've heard, smaller fruit than Achachairu and more tart.

Is G. Brasiliensis synonym for G. Gardneriana?

No, different species/fruits. G. Gardneriana pictured here:

Just had some G. gardeneriana fruits at Helton's place. Very nice...sweet and juicy.
The G. brasilensis is very similar to G. intermedia (lemon drop), although there are different forms of the fruit on each species, the plants look pretty much identical.

i believe skin of G. gardneriana is always thicker, and not palatable.

a distinguishing characteristic of brasiliensis, is it's thin edible skin.
