Well, it looks like I am ready for my crow.  I will have it prepared Hunter Style.

I had a Fruit Cocktail today (will post picture and review later).  It is indeed a "newly named" (aka 28-18) variety. No definitive timeframe for release.

We had fruit cocktail at Matt Reeves tasting Saturday

He got them a few days prior along butter cream and many others

Every bite was consistent and truly had a cocktail of flavor

That is so damned cool that we experienced a mango orgasm together thanks to Mr Zill!!!
I think you also may have heard me say that I had the same reaction to Sugarloaf as I did last yeR when Terry cut open a P Pleasure for me. I know you left for about 10 minutes then came back in so maybe you missed that precious moment? I actually said to Terry that talking to Mr Zill was like talking to the biggest movie star. Same thing you just said. Nice meeting you and sharing a very special moment in time and space/our lives.

I had a Cream Brulee from Zill  today. Excellent mango, very sweet and a special resinous taste near the skin.

Dang. I should have bought a couple to try. From the name I was afraid it would be too mild.

So far I'm disappointed in Sugarloaf (n=3). They did not have much flavor at any state.  Perhaps picked too soon?

I got to try creme brulee. It was fantastic. The seed is very obviously polyembryonic, but does anybody have budwood?

E4 was also good, but I thought the creme brulee was better. Both seem like close relatives to the coco cream, but oddly I don't remember coco cream being polyembryonic?

E4 is Pettigrew and Gary
Coco Cream is Edward and Gary

Creme Brulee is an Edward seedling I believe.   Not sure if Gary was the pollen donor or not.  If Ibrecall, it is not a very good bearer...and I dont think anyone has budwood.

Ha I've been eating coco creams for years and never took the time to look at the seed. Interesting.

Interesting. pettigrew and gary are both awesome mangoes. Zill's HPP said they were going to release creme brulee next year. I might just top work with a seedling.
