Citrus > Cold Hardy Citrus
African shadock x rubidoux trifoliate - Poncirus
Perplexed:
Thinking about getting this variety to test it out? Anyone got information about this hardiness wise?
SoCal2warm:
Might be similar to citrumelo, I would guess. Citrumelos seem to do well in zone 8. Sometimes they can survive and fruit in zone 7b.
Florian:
Could also be less cold-tolerant than citrumelo since african shaddock is a pomelo. But who knows until it is tested!
Perplexed:
Yeah apparently the seeds are $77 for I think a pint. I’ll give them a try.
Laaz:
Lol! That's going to be a hell of a lot of seeds. I doubt they will be as hardy as swingle & will produce large trees that are more prone to cold damage.
