I remember the researchers at UCR presented this at the citrus day 2 years ago. It takes very steady hands and good eyes to do this and they can’t do it too fast. Even though they used young people at the lab, they were still really tired after a while. I forgot if they’re limited to doing a certain number a day.

Some finger limes are resistant to tristeza virus, the main problem with citrus plants.

I would get a grand total of about 2 trees grafted per day using this method..  Sure looks time consuming and very, very delicate to me!

I think they can graft 1000 trees per day or more, once you have all equipment set. With 10% successful rate they must have.
