pulling out white sapote
« on: October 17, 2018, 02:34:22 PM »
found a nice 3ft tall white sapote seedling growing in the ground (clay soil).  I want to remove it and repot for awhile so i can graft on to it and replant elsewhere.  how well do they react  with being dug out?

It will not like having its tap root severed.  But, they are pretty tough and can be moved.  I planted one and then decided later to move it.  It was a seedling plant and about 3 or 4 ft tall when I dug it up and moved it.  So you should be OK.
