Mangos Ripening:Pick em or leave em?

Hello, I have 2 mangoes on my pickering that have not ripened as of now, should i leave them through the winter or should i just count them as wasted nutrients and pick em off

From what I can tell, the tree was really too small to hold druit in the first place.  Mango trees should have some matyrity to them before letting them hold fruit.  Its a marathon, not a sprint....
