I like Patrick's best so far.  A suggestion, how about a few fruits in the dark corners?

Thanks Harry, I had already moved this one into final mode, the fruit in the corners would have been ideal. I hope there are some artists out there!

I always thought about making a logo for Tropical forum :-) I am a graphic designer by profession, so if you would like I can create something or recreate some of designs/ideas of other members (making it vector compatible ect. :-) )

That would be awesome! We would really appreciate the help. I will shoot you a message.

I think that's a really great logo Patrick designed because it combines idea in the name of the forum, international (globe) and tropical fruits. I think it could be improved by having other fruits in background, rather than just mangosteens. But color and circular (symbolizing sustainable) feel of it is very nice!

I got someone on Ebay to design a logo for $9 and these are the first two versions he sent.  I personally hate them but will post them to see if someone can steal some element from them or get inspired to do good version.  When I was a child my grandfather told me "good thing no cheap and cheap thing no good" . . . $9 for a logo and unlimited redesigns . . . I should have seen this coming

They were willing to change the fruit but I am not sure that will help.   I currently have them working on Patricks V1 of the logo with the black background to add fruit in the corners like Harry suggested.  I am going to get my $9 worth!

Don, I think those logos are not bad at all. But they would be better, if it had other exotic fruit then watermelon, lemon, pear, kiwi and plum...

I like the ones with lots of fruit, esp eds 3rd. Dont like the globe ones because the make it look like an environmentalist organization. And while the membership is global the fruits are most definitely not. Temperate fruit discussions are off topic.

Need a poll, perhaps a way to nominate.  We have some fine examples here.

Agree, just a little too dark for me.  Would brighten it up a bit by throwing in some other fruits with bright colors.

I like the wrap around world touch.  Since this is a worldwide community ioined in spirit and a passion for growing unusual and  challenging fruits, perhaps a touchy feelie addition of folks holding hands?

Be nice to have a Facebook "like" button on this site.

I have requested the following from my $9 ebay guy:

Patricks version 1 with the black background but to put tropical fruit in the corners

Edzone9's mango tree but with various fruit growing on it and www.tropicalfruitforum.com going around it in a circle

a remake of the version 2 of my banner but with various exotic fruit instead of apples and pears etc.

I don't know if he will do any or all of these, I did pay only $9 but lets see how it shakes out.

If money is an issue, I'll sponsor this if it's money well spent (looks OK to admin).  Just let me know via a PM.  I prefer to use PayPal.

Still like to see a poll, group input, of the semi-finals.

Nice, I like how you included some of the more obscure fruits, is that madruno in the top right corner?

Its not the money Mark, it's to see if we have the right person for the job in this ebay character.  Thanks though!
