Happy 2014 New Year everybody, best wishes for a wonderful year to everyone.

Last year I was introduced to the wonderful, many varieties of 'Pometia Pinnata' fruit (Fijian Longan) by a new, USA, Tropical Fruit Forum Member, believe it or not. So, many thanks are in order. As a result of this Member's keen observations, I'm sure that I'm one of many others trying to bring one or more of the quality varieties of this fruit species into the USA.

Last year I was also made aware by Forum Member Bangkok, that there are many sweet varieties of truly, red colored flesh, jackfruits in Thailand. Since there aren't really any here in South Florida USA, now we know, and nurseries know, where to go and get'm. So, many thanks to Bangkok, I really appreciate that report. I'm really looking forward, and would appreciate, further reports in 2014.

And, last but not least, many thanks to Carlos, CTMIAMI, for his wonderful, professional service in the development and propagation of new and exciting varieties of avocados for South Florida, USA, throughout all of last year. May we all be the beneficiaries of his avocado expertise for many years into the future.

There are many other wonderful memories and stories from last year that are too many to mention and having to do with all types of fruits like Georgios mango reviews and others. Also, there were many wonderful/exciting and interesting topics of conversation in the Off Topic section of the Tropical Fruit Forum.

I learned a lot on this Forum last year, knowledge that I've been applying and putting to good use.

Have a fruitful 2014 everybody.

'Virtue' should be taught, learned and propagated, in order to save others and oneself.
