Received my box, as well.  Actually, the box arrived pretty quickly.  Awesome fruit, as always Brad, thank you.

FIGS!  I believe the fad for collecting cuttings and the trees, has never really let up, so not much of a fad, actually.  Some rare varieties were and still are going for a few hundred, just for a small to medium rooted cutting or grafted tree.  Most I've ever heard of someone paying, is over $1,000 for a small tree.  A few years later, you can get the same variety for less than a hundred, and cuttings for much, much less.  Basically, I have been affordably buying tasty varieties cuttings and trees, that were "worth" hundreds of Dollars, a few years back.

In the second video, their ultimate reason for inducing early blooming, is to take advantage of a longer harvest season, in other words, take advantage of harvesting fruit out of season.  Their talk about nitrogen, potassium, and boron, is basically to also help induce early blooming, and nourish the trees, since they are introducing a stress to the tree.  Ideally, I guess what they are doing is splitting up their trees' harvests, which is interesting, but also stressful to the trees.

Best option in my opinion, would be Stevenson Landscaping in Cocoa, the best nursery I have found in the area, as their selections are great, and their prices are phenomenal.  I just called them, and they currently have Tropic Snow and Tropic Beauty.

Apart from that, I saw a couple low-chill peach trees, at the Rockledge Lowe's, the other day.  They were Florida Prince, I believe.  I've seen some of the local Walmarts carry a few, also.  Don't recall which stores I saw them at, but a good bet would be the beachside one on Eau Gallie, and the one on Sarno Rd., the ones I usually frequent.

Hello all.  Thanks for resurrecting this old post!  I have a question related to Canistel, and I wanted to try here before creating a separate post.  I am told there are Canistel fruit, which most closely resemble the taste of Lucuma (Pouteria Lucuma), originally from South America.  As there are so many varieties of Canistel, which would be best?  As for the Lucuma fruit, it tastes like a sweet potato, ranges from dry to moist flesh, and makes excellent desserts, especially ice cream.  Since it will mainly be a dessert ingredient, taste would be most important, with moisture content not being very important.  Thanks in advance!

Picked up quite a few Brooks over a week ago, on Merritt Island.  Tasted a couple ripe ones last night, and they were delightfully pleasant, with a good balance of tart and sweetness.  Nice to see some of the older Florida varieties, still in production. 

That's awesome, especially with how young your Lucuma is.  I have a baby Lucuma seedling, bought recently, which has experienced minor new leaf growth only twice, in the last few months.  Are they normally slow-growing?  Don't know how well they grow in Florida, just happy to have one, in the first place.  Want to grow a Canistel (Egg Fruit), as well.  Heard they taste similar, but there are so many varieties available here.

I have 3 honeyhart trees available if anyone wants send a message.  They are heavy and have DG in thr pots so shipping will be a lot less in CA.  Like 13$ in CA and 30$ in FL.
